What We Do
-
We raise money for the libraries by selling used books at our big book sales and at our Harmony Shop and our Old Town Library Nook. Our Board manages the logistics of the books sales, organizes book donations, and reviews and approves the library program budgets FOL funds.

We contribute more than $70,000 from book sale proceeds, fundraising, and memberships every year to our libraries to help fund programs and events, including the Summer Reading Program, History Comes Alive speakers, and much more!
Library Programs We Support
Every year, the library sends us a wish list of spending requests which our Board votes on. As a result, the Friends have donated more than $900,000 since 2008 to support many well-loved library programs using funds raised through book sales and memberships. PRFOL Board Information
The Board
Members of our Board of Directors are elected yearly at our December annual meeting. Board members must be members of the Friends of the Library and are subject to a background check.
Our mission is to enrich the educational and financial resources of the Library as well as to act as an advocate for it and to increase the awareness of its value to the community.
Board Meetings
Meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month, 4PM to 5PM at the Harmony Library Community Room. In cases where an in-person meeting is not viable, meetings will be held on Zoom.
